Happy Haunting... 5 Spooky Tours Across the U.S.

If you love Halloween you may be looking for a good scare! With it being one of my favorite holidays, the thoughts of spooky haunted places and tours have been on my mind. My goal is to help you find lost spirts, something that gives you a bit of the creeps and learn a few ghost stories. Not only does a good tour give you a good scare, they are also educational.


I have put together a list of 5 Spooky Tours Across the U.S to help you get into the Halloween Spirit!


1. New Orleans #1 Haunted Ghost, Voodoo, & Vampire Tour:

NOLA is one of those places that screams spooky. From voodoo, to witches to vampires there’s something for everyone looking for a good scare. Exploring New Orleans in the evening can seem like an intimidating quest on your own, but this ghost, voodoo, and vampire walking tour takes you to the city’s most eerie sites at night in the safety of a group with a knowledgeable guide. Visit over a dozen locations of historical significance within the downtown area and learn why the history is more frightening than fiction.





4. Waverly Hill Sanitarium, Louisville, KY:

Originally, Waverly Hills Sanatorium was a two-story frame building with a hipped roof and half-timbering. Construction on this building began in 1908 and opened for business on July 26, 1910. The building was designed to accommodate 40-50 tuberculosis patients safely. At the time, Tuberculosis was a very serious disease. People who were afflicted with Tuberculosis were isolated from the general public and placed in an area where they could rest, stay calm, and have plenty of fresh air. Sanatoriums were built on high hills surrounded by peaceful woods to create a serene atmosphere to help the patients recover.

Ever wanted to take a tour of this amazing building in October? Here is your chance. Move through the building from guide to guide. Listen many different people share facts and stories of the buildings long history. Possibly see famous shadow people, be lead through newly reopened sections of the first floor. Does not include the body chute. Recommended ages 10 and up.

5. Boston Ghost Tours, Boston, MA:

With its centuries of history, it’s no surprise Boston is packed with haunted sights, though they aren’t always easy for visitors to find. On this nighttime ghost tour, follow a guide to some of the city’s most storied landmarks, such as the Granary Burying Ground, the Boston Opera House, and the Massachusetts State House, and discover the hidden history and spooky sightings associated with each.
