Welcome to the Hola Beaches Travel Blog, where we will talk all things travel!

I’m Zahi, a travel advisor and small business owner, mom and wife, currently living in Southeastern Connecticut in a small town called Salem. I am Coffee obsessed, a holiday junkie and I live, dream, think, and sleep all things travel! The Hola Beaches Travel Blog is my place to share my love for travel with all of you guys! I know, I know, a travel advisor? YES! We are still a thing! I don’t know if you heard but, back in 2020 we had a little something happen which halted all travel, sending travelers and the entire industry into a black hole of uncertainty. If nothing else, the global pandemic highlighted the importance of having someone in your corner.

As a travel advisor, I've spent hours of hold times with travel partners (suppliers), reassuring my clients that I will be on their side to do what is best, while staying up to date on the changing travel safety protocols here at home and foreign destinations. I was also able to travel both internationally and within the United States during the pandemic, so I know firsthand what it is to travel during Covid. Due to my knowledge and experience, our travels were not the nightmare they could have possibly been. I realized that our services as travel advisors are necessary for today’s travelers, now more than ever.

To kickoff the Hola Beaches Travel Blog, as if I haven’t convinced you already, I thought we should talk more about why travel agents are so important. Our services go above and beyond to make your world go round.

We are in your corner! Think of us as your advocate. If something goes wrong during your trip, a good travel advisor will go to bat for you and try to get your vacation back on track. ALWAYS talk to the front desk, or customer relations, while we work to get any issues resolved on the back end. We have built personal relationships with suppliers which means, having a point of contact with each resort, cruise line and other vacation suppliers.

Experience:

We have been there, done that! Besides the virtual certifications and in-person trainings, we go on FAM trips. FAM stands for Familiarization Trip, this is where agents get to visit, explore, and experience resorts, cruise ships and destinations all over the world. These trips are no joke! While in destination, we are visiting and learning dozens of travel brands’ "must see experiences". This helps us point our clients in the right direction – literally. With my ongoing experiences, even through the pandemic, I have become extremely familiar with new safety protocols and what to expect almost anywhere.

Personalized service means, we make ourselves available to our clients. From the planning stages to the time of travel, our clients have access to us. If something goes wrong and you booked through some website, you can’t call the internet. Seriously – have you ever tried to call Air BnB, Expedia, or Travelocity? Yeah right. With an advisor, you know who to call. Your travel agent always answers! Hola Beaches!
